1. The Swamp Rats dissolved before the end of the 60s. So, what about the music? Well, the first 12 cuts are uniformly excellent. The first two "Louie, Louie" and band frontman Bob Hocko's "Hey Freak" are flat out raves that remind me a bit of what The Sonics were doing a few years earlier/5(8).

7. Apr 21,  · By the early seventies only Bob Hocko would be left and they became Galactus, whose LP was a lacklustre trudge through Stones' covers and beer-hall rock fayre. In Bob Hocko put out the Disco Sucks LP which has one side of tracks (six of 'em) and one side of five s tracks (three 'Stones covers, one Kinks and one original).

Dec 22,  · Bob Hocko - lead vocal, guitar, drums This release is an expanded version of a mids Swamp Rats compilation called "Disco Sucks," which strangely omitted their insane take on "Psycho" and other singles sides, substituting lackluster songs by Hocko's '70s hard rock band Galactus and two Rats reunion songs that failed to capture their original essence.
